It Rains

It started at last! I have been waiting for the last few hours. At last it rains.

There had been no rain for a long long time. There were rumours of a drought or perhaps a delayed monsoon. But it rained yesterday, bringing much needed relief.

Somehow, the atmospheric turmoil calms my much disturbed mind.

But, it brings back my happiest memories from a year ago, moments that I shared with just one person in this whole wide world.
